In the 2019 global competitiveness index, Ghana registered higher scores in terms of macroeconomic stability and the labor market. These 4th and 8th competitiveness pillars attained scores of 59.5 and 56 points, ranking the country as 132nd and 93rd in the world, respectively. On the other hand, Ghana's performance in innovation
capability and infrastructure reached scores of 32.9 and 46.6, respectively, the lowest scores compared to the other pillars.
The global competitiveness indicator measures factors and attributes that drive productivity, growth, and human development in a given country on a scale from 0-100, where 100 represents an ideal state with no obstacles to productivity.
