As of March 2021, personal and other services were granted the highest share of credit conceded by commercial banks in Tanzania. Nearly 40 percent of the total domestic lending was allocated to this economic activity. Trade had a share of 15.4 percent in the total value of loans, while nearly 10 percent went to the manufacturing sector.
