Victims of childhood sexual abuse in France 2019, by duration of abuse
In 2019, it was found that in France, 89 percent of victims of sexual violence as minors had been sexually assaulted (e.g., touched) and 22 percent had been raped. Regarding the duration of the sexual abuse, the majority of cases (46 percent) of childhood sexual abuse occurred only once. However, 20 percent of the victims were abused for one to five years.
