The Summer Olympic Games were scheduled to be held in Tokyo, Japan in 2020, but were postponed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In a 2021 survey in the United States, respondents were asked whether they thought the Tokyo Olympics should be postponed another year. Among U.S. respondents over the age of 65, some 40 percent stated that they thought the Tokyo Olympics should be played in 2021 and not postponed again.
