In May 2021, a survey was conducted in the United States to determine public opinion on the use of video replay technology by professional sports leagues. Among the sports fans surveyed, a majority of 60 percent indicated that they believed sports leagues should use replay as much as possible to ensure the accuracy of calls. Meanwhile, 30 percent of sports fans held the opinion that sports leagues should limit the use of video replay to maintain the flow of a game.
