Number of researchers in the public sector in Egypt 2017-2018
In 2018, the number of researchers in the public sector in Egypt amounted to approximately 24.3 thousand researchers. This was an increase of slightly over 11 percent from 2017, when the number of researchers stood at roughly 21.8 thousand. Moreover, the majority of the researchers were connected to the Ministry of Agriculture, with a share of 41 percent. The National Research center came next, with 20 percent of the professionals working there.
