French TV channels have been buying less hours of documentaries supported by the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée in 2019 than in 2018. The total number of hours bought in 2019 was 1,960. The France Télévisions group bought the most hours both years, with 847 hours in 2019, followed by Arte France which bought 254 hours that year.
