During Amazon Prime Day 2021, consumers in the United States are looking to expand their shopping beyond the retail giant's own platform. According to the findings of a recent survey, Amazon competitors consumers were expecting to shop from included Walmart, Target, and Kohl's. Majority of consumers who expressed an intention to shop from these retailers said they would likely shop from them in person. Best Buy was the leading retailer that the consumers were planning shop via their online channels, 32 percent of respondents opting for th Best Buy website, and another 12 percent via the retailer's mobile app.
Amazon Prime Day is a two-day shopping event organized in celebration of the retail giant Amazon's birthday. In 2021, the event will start on June 21.
