Gen Z renters have shown significant increase in interest in certain cities between 2020 and 2021. Rent applications by Zoomers in San Francisco, NY, doubled during this period, making it the city with the highest increase in share of Gen Z applicants in the United States in 2021.

This increase in interest in the selected cities could put them among cities with the highest share of Gen Z rent applicants in the United States in the near future.
