Share of mining revenue in British Columbia by product 2023

In 2023, metallurgical coal accounted for the largest share of the net revenue of the British Columbian mining industry by far, at 61 percent. The second-largest revenue-generating mineral commodity for B.C. that year was copper, which accounted for 18 percent of the B.C. mining industry's net revenue.

British Columbia's net mining revenue amounted to 14.5 billion Canadian dollars in 2023.
