In 2023, metallurgical coal accounted for the largest share of the net revenue of the British Columbian mining industry by far, at 61 percent. The second-largest revenue-generating mineral commodity for B.C. that year was copper, which accounted for 18 percent of the B.C. mining industry's net revenue.
