In 2014, the definition of fair trade was expanded to domestic production in France. A specialized fair trade label for this Made in France production was created (Agri-Éthique) to adapt to French producers' ethical needs. In 2022, fair trade bakery and pastry products represented over 50 percent of the French production of fair trade food products.
