The share of French Internet users aged eleven and more owning at least one smartphone has been increasing rapidly since 2017. In the second quarter of 2020, the penetration rate of smartphones was 77 percent, which represents a 10 points increase from the year 2017, when 66,9 percent of French internet users owned a smartphone.
