Iran is expected to remain the leading natural gas producer of the Middle East, producing 240 billion cubic meters in 2019 to 481 billion cubic meters in 2050. In 2019, production for natural gas amounted to 685.7 billion cubic meters in the entire Middle East region, but the extraction was expected to nearly double by 2050.
