On February 2022, a survey revealed that the majority of the French population systematically wore a face mask in public spaces to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. When in public, around 70 percent of respondents declared systematically wearing a face mask. According to this survey, the older the respondent, the more likely the person was to follow this measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
