Average lifespan of kei passenger cars in Japan 2014-2023
In 2023, the average lifespan of light motor passenger cars (kei cars) permanently returned in Japan was 15.82 years, decreasing from 15.83 years the year before. This was the first time in the past decade that a decrease was recorded.The average lifespan of regular passenger cars had decreased as well in said year.
