In March 2021, approximately 42 percent of participants in the United States stated that they always or most of the time have paid greater attention to the amount of money they or their household spends on groceries, since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Another 30 percent stated that they have at least sometimes paid greater attention to their grocery shopping budget since the pandemic.
