In 2018, the place of sports in the clothing practices of people in France was important: many of them consumed sports items in their daily lives. The porosity was strong between the primary use reserved for sport and the diverted use lifestyle worn in everyday life. Multi-sport stores were also the preferred place of purchase for French people for sports items and remained so for diverted items. However, they were competing with generalist fashion stores, which were perfectly identified for this kind of use.
