Value of net FDI in Egypt 2018-2020, by destination

In 2019/2020, the leading destination for net foreign direct investment (FDI) in Egypt was the United Kingdom. This was in line with the preceding year. The United Arab Emirates and the United States followed with roughly 1.6 billion U.S. dollars and 1.4 billion U.S. dollars, respectively. The total net value of FDI in Egypt dropped to 7.45 billion U.S. dollars in 2019/2020, decreasing from 8.23 billion U.S. dollars in the previous year.
