Egypt's total foreign direct investment (FDI) inflow was 6.7 billion U.S. dollars in the first quarter of 2022/2023. In 2021/2022, the inflow of FDI to the country amounted to 22.2 billion U.S. dollars. The highest in the observed period and an increase from around 14 billion U.S. dollars in 2020/2021. The value of FDI outflows from Egypt stood at 13.2 billion U.S. dollars in 2021/2022.
