Breakdown of insurtech penetration in France in 2021, by type
Insurtechs, recently introduced to the market, are impacting the traditional insurance sector. Although the growth of the global market of insurtechs is moderate, the number of insurance start-ups rose from 203 to 224 in France between January 2020 and January 2021, an increase of 10 percent, and 42 percent of French insurtechs fall into the "distribution" category according to the same study.
