A fourth quarter 2020 survey of global gaming audiences revealed that 70 percent of worldwide console gamers played video games just to have fun. Only 36 percent of responding console gamers for the challenge. Additionally 48 percent of gamers worldwide use a VR headset for gaming to play for the challenge. Overall, fun was consistently ranked as the most popular reason to game across all platforms.
