Likelihood of Olympics going ahead according to Europeans 2021
The 2020 Summer Olympic games in Tokyo were postponed by a year as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. However, the fate of the rescheduled event still hung in the balance as the health crisis was still raging on a year later. During a May 2021 survey in selected European countries, 58 percent of respondents from France believed that it was not very likely or not at all likely that the Summer Games would go ahead as scheduled in 2021.
