According to an April 2021 study, the seaside was by far the preferred holiday destination of Italians for domestic summer trips in 2021. Roughly 74 percent of respondents who intend to take domestic vacations in summer 2021 mentioned this destination. In contrast, only four percent of the survey sample claimed they will visit spa resorts for their summer holidays in Italy.
