In May 2022, Italian online users aged between 18 and 24 years old were the audience that spent more time on entertainment, social networking, and instant messenger websites. Internet users aged between 25 to 34 spent nine percent of their online time on games websites and only three percent on retail websites. In the case of Italian online users aged 45 and above, entertainment and social networking were the websites categories that registered lower engagement in terms of time spent, while gaming websites accounted for 13 percent of all the time spent online by the older age group.
