Average turnover of biotech enterprises in Spain 2020, by region
In 2020, Madrid was the Spanish autonomous community with the highest average turnover per company in the biotechnology sector, with an average turnover of approximately 27.6 million euros. Catalonia and Aragon followed, with a median turnover of about 26.6 million and 25.1 million euros that year. As of that date, Catalonia and Madrid concentrated the highest number of biotech companies in the European country.
