In 2020, people aged between 18 and 29 years old accounted for the largest share of insurance consumers in China. At the same time, a majority of surveyed insurance clients stated that they were already married.
Share of age groups of Chinese insurance customers in 2020
The survey included respondents from 18 provinces, autonomous regions, and cities covering the northeast, north, east, south, central, northwest, and southwest of China. All these seven regions were consistent with previous surveys.
The survey was based on a total of 1,072 valid samples, 531 from the life insurance questionnaire and 541 from the the property insurance questionnaire.
