Share of UK shoppers who purchased homeware online or in-store 2020 to 2021
According to the findings of surveys conducted between July 2019 to June 2021, there was a clear difference in homeware purchases when it came to shopping online versus in-store. Online shopping for homeware among UK consumers peaked in March 2021 at 63 percent, coinciding with the height of national lockdown restrictions that were in place at the time in the UK. During this time, only one-third of survey respondents stated to have made the majority of their shopping for homeware in stores. In the most recently reported month (in June 2021), the share of consumers who shopped for homeware online declined to 58 percent.
