Share of people uploading self-created content in Luxembourg 2020, by age

The European questionnaire on Information and Communication Technologies Data reveals that there exists a disparity between the internet usage of people from different age groups. This disparity although present in most countries, differs widely in its severity.
In 2020, 32 percent of users in Luxembourg between 16 and 24 years uploaded self-created content, like videos, photos, music, or texts. This share decreases among older user groups. Users between the age of 25 and 34 were two percent less likely to upload self-created content. Even less, 33 percent of people between 35 and 31 did so in 2020. The share of people between 45 and 54 were even lower with only 24 percent. The lowest share of users to use the internet in this manner can be found among 55 and 64-year old’s among which only 22 percent shared their own content online.
