Monthly online conversion rate index evolution in France 2020-2021
France went into lockdown on March 17, 2020, and most stores had already closed on March 14. The country’s lockdown has also been one of the strictest in Europe. Periodically, people were required to carry a form stating their reason for being outside their homes. As a result of the shutdown, the country experienced a general change in the online conversion rate, illustrated by the index growth rate since January 2020. Setting the base index at 100 for January 2020 and 2021, the source indicates a strong growth of the conversion rate at the end of 2020. The conversion rate was higher at the beginning of 2021, compared to the beginning of 2020.
