Business environment obstacles for firms in Egypt 2020
As of 2020, tax rates were seen as the largest business environment obstacle in Egypt, indicated by roughly 24.4 percent of the respondent firms. Moreover, two obstacles related to governance followed, namely political instability and corruption, at 17.4 percent and 14.6 percent, respectively. On the other hand, only 0.2 percent of the firms saw access to land and courts as a barrier to the business environment in the country.
