China is the biggest producer of graphic papers worldwide. The East Asian country produced some 24.75 million metric tons of graphic papers in 2022, which was roughly triple the output of the second-largest producer that year - the United States. Production volumes in China have increased significantly over the past decade. In comparison, production volumes in other leading countries - such as the United States, Japan, or Germany - have experienced considerable reductions.
