As of 2022, the installed capacity for wind power generation in Kenya amounted to 436 megawatts. The country has invested in wind energy, inaugurating 2019 the Lake Turkana Wind Plant, which is considered Africa’s largest wind power project. In 2017, Kenya had an installed wind energy capacity of only 26 megawatts.
