According to an April 2021 study, 17 percent of surveyed German travelers were planning to go on holiday in Denmark over the next six months, while only four percent of English respondents claimed the same. Meanwhile, 16 percent of travelers from Denmark were planning a holiday trip to Sweden during the next six months.

*The survey included 1,000 respondents for each of the following countries: Germany, France, England, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark. The analysis covered respondents in each market based on the following geographical breakdown:
Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands: covered nationally.
England: Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxford,
Essex, Inner London, Outer London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex (in the surrounding area of London).
France: Ile de France and the Rhone-Alpes (Paris and Lyon).
Germany: North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Schleswig-Holstein, and Mecklenburg-West Pomerania
The survey question was phrased by the source as follows: "Hvilke land planlegger du, eller overveier du å besøke på en ferie- / fritidsreise i løpet av de neste 6 månedene?".
