In 2021, a minority of French people claim to be uncomfortable with the installation of video systems in their city, citing in particular the collection and potential use of their personal data, especially commercial. According to this study, greater transparency on the use of their personal information as well as clearer communication on these video surveillance systems would increase the confidence of French people in these devices.
