Brazil: out-of-home food and beverage prices 2019-2020
Clients of foodservice establishments in Brazil paid on average 26.3 Brazilian reals for a meal in the fourth quarter of 2020, according to a survey. Meanwhile, a hot beverage consumed out-of-home cost 4.7 Brazilian reals on average. In both cases, this represents an increase of at least 15 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, April of 2020 was the month generating the lowest revenue for restaurants in Brazil.
