In 2023, 13.4 million digital music singles or tracks were sold in Germany. While digital sales eclipsed physical singles almost during the whole observation period for this graph, the sales also fluctuated. One of the possible reasons being the rise of music streaming services, which may reduce the number of listeners willing to pay for the music they listen to.
