In 2021, around 4.5 million cases of malaria were confirmed in Tanzania, less than the previous year. The disease is one of the main health issues in the country. According to the source estimates, Tanzania accounted for three percent of the global malaria cases that year. Moreover, around 1,920 deaths from malaria were reported as of 2021 in the African country.
