In the last two years, neobanks registered an increasing amount of funding. The peak was reached in the third quarter of 2019, when neobanks raised a total of 1.74 billion U.S. dollars through venture capital and private equity deals. During the first quarter of 2020, the value of funds raised through VC and PE deals amounted to 1.3 billion U.S. dollars.
