In financial year 2021, the revenue per available room (RevPar) in economy hotels in India declined by 76 percent from the previous year. The revenue in upscale hotels declined by 63 percent. This decline in revenue in hotels was due to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
