People uploading self-created content in Luxembourg, by formal education
The European questionnaire on Information and Communication Technologies Data reveals that there exists a disparity between the internet usage of people with a low (At most lower secondary education), medium (Upper secondary and post-secondary non-tertiary education), and high (Tertiary education) formal education level. This disparity although present in most countries, differs widely in its severity.
In 2019, 25 percent of users with low formal education in Luxembourg uploaded self-created content, this constituted a decrease of 20 percent since 2017. Users with medium or higher education tended to share more content online. According to the survey 36 percent of people with a medium level of formal education and 39 percent of users with a high degree of formal education share self-created content online. The gap between people with lower and higher formal education was 14 percent.
