A survey about the activities performed online among Australian internet users revealed that in 2023, 105 percent of respondents had a smart device connected to the internet, excluding computers, tablets, and mobile phones. The shares of consumers with internet-connected smart devices have grown over past few years, reaching the highest year-on-year increase between 2019 and 2020, which was most likely driven by COVID-19 restrictions.
