In 2021, the majority of reported botnet attacks globally were caused by malware from the Trickbot family. This represented almost 29 percent of all attacks. Although an additional 15 and 14 percent of botnet crime was traced to Qbot and Emotet, respectively, 12 percent of attacks that year involved malware from other families.
