Job loss and recovery after lockdown India 2020, by age
In the year 2020, young workers in India were found to be the most vulnerable to losing their job with no scope for recovery with nearly 33 percent of such workers remaining unemployed even after the lockdown had ended. Comparatively, the group that was least susceptible to job loss as a result of the lockdown were workers aged between 35 and 44 years, as almost 64 percent of them experienced no adverse change in their employment situation in 2020.
