Number of people facing food insecurity in Mozambique 2021, by province

As of May 2021, Nampula was the province with the largest number of people with insufficient food for consumption in Mozambique, around 1.6 million. The region hosts nearly 65 thousand displaced people, of which most had fled from violence in the neighboring province Cabo Delgado. In this area, other 745 thousand people lacked access to food. Overall, Mozambique counted 8.3 million people in the same situation.
