The local production of medical devices in the country was also estimated to amount to around 4.9 million U.S. dollars in 2022. Most of the medical devices produced in Thailand are for exporting purpose, instead of for domestic sales.

As for imports, China led as thr major source country for medical devices imported to Thailand. This was followed by the United States.
