Over the time period under consideration, garden equipment sales peaked in May 2022 with a retail sales value of more than one and a half billion Canadian dollars, after which sales quickly dropped off. The coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and 2021 did not seem to have a negative impact on retail sales for lawn and garden equipment in Canada.
