The leading dissatisfaction of Japanese online shoppers with direct-to-consumer (D2C) websites was the high shipping fees of orders as revealed in a survey conducted in October 2020. While 53 percent of respondents were dissatisfied with the shipping fees of manufacturer's online stores, other logistics-related aspects like the slow shipping processes were also named by respondents as a common reason against D2C online shopping.
