Revenue generated from gold in Ghana amounted to around 6.6 billion U.S. dollars in 2022. This increased from the previous year, when the income amounted to nearly 5.1 billion U.S. dollars. From 2009 onwards, the country's revenue from gold fluctuated, although it generally increased. Overall, Ghana had gold reserves of around 8.7 metric tons as of the second quarter of 2023.
