Around 90 percent of respondents to a survey on digitalization of homestays in India from 2019 to 2020 stated that digital platforms increased their outreach. Furthermore, digitalization helped to diversify their target audience for 81 percent and to increase revenue for 79 percent of respondents.
Homestay is a mode of hospitality whereby guests stay at a private residence. The length of stay as well as the size of the accommodation vary.
