Most downloaded free dating apps in Hungary 2023

In 2023, over 177,000 Hungarians downloaded Tinder on their mobile phones, making it the leading free dating app in the country. Badoo was the second most popular free dating app in the country during the same year, counting over 117,000 downloads. 

 Dating during times of inflation

Consumer price inflation has had an undeniable influence on many aspects of Hungarians’ lives. As of December 2022, consumer prices recorded a nearly 25 percent increase compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. According to the results of a study realized during the same month, over half of the respondents stated that the uncertain economic situation and rising prices also affected their dating habits.

 Does love bring happiness?

According to the findings of a survey conducted among Hungarians in 2021, there was indeed a correlation between an individual's relationship status and their level of happiness. The survey results revealed that married Hungarians could be considered the happiest, followed by people living in relationships. On the other hand, single Hungarians were the least happy.
